Relationship Science

Relationship Science (RelSci), an information services business headquartered in New York City, NY, USA, provides a “six degrees” type of business development tool that helps users see connections between – and make connections with—influential people based on their profiles in the system’s database.
RelSci has compiled over four million influential names and their connections, charity work, work and board associates, and education to find pathways between dealmakers, power brokers, and business executives.
The company is aimed at the financial, nonprofit, corporate, legal and professional services sectors and promotes itself as the “ultimate business development tool.”.
==History==
Founded in 2010 as Connectivity Data Systems LLC. In late 2012 the company changed its name to Relationship Science LLC.
RelSci unveiled its product on February 11, 2013, after two years of product development and research.
RelSci was founded by Neal Goldman, co-founder of Capital IQ, which was sold to McGraw-Hill in 2004 for more than $200 million.
“We live in a service economy,” Mr. Goldman said. “Building relationships is the most important part for selling and growing… I knew there had to be a better way () search out others.” Goldman wanted to improve on the reliance of Google and personal contacts when building and improving business relationships. “As someone who has raised capital, extensively engaged in direct selling and built mutually productive partnerships throughout my career, I continuously grasped for ways to better leverage information and my relationships….I always thought there had to be an easier way to identify and connect with the people and organizations I needed to reach to achieve my goals. So I decided to create RelSci to fill that need.”
